Subsea 7 nets Pemex work

Pemex awarded Subsea 7's Mexican joint venture its second contract for work at the Line 67 Project in the Bay of Campeche, the E&C services company announced on 14 May 2013. The contract's value is estimated at US$90 million.

The scope of work includes the engineering, fabrication, and installation of an 8km pipeline, related risers, two slug catchers, and two cantilever structures. Subsea 7 will handle project managing and engineerig through its offices in Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico, and Houston. ƶijϻ operations will begin 3Q 2013, followed by pipelay activities, conducted by the deepwater construction vessel Seven Borealis (pictured), in 4Q 2013.

Previously, Pemex granted Subsea 7's JV a $140 million contract for the engineering, fabrication, and installation of a 16km pipeline and associated components in early January. Subsea 7 expects pipelay activies on that contract to commence in 3Q 2013, also with the Seven Borealis.
