ƶijϻ energy support vessel (OESV) operator Seacat Services said it has commenced a long-term contract with Equinor, which will see three OESVs support the ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M) of the 88-turbine Sheringham Shoal ƶijϻ Wind Farm in the UK North Sea.

Throughout the contract, two of Seacat Services’ 21-meter vessels – Seacat Endeavour and Seacat Reliance – will operate on site all year round, and between March and October they will be joined on site by a larger 24-meter catamaran.

Seacat Services’ vessels and crews will provide specialist logistical support to the Equinor technical teams, assisting with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance by conducting transfer of technicians and O&M equipment to and from Wells Harbor.

The 317-megawatt Sheringham Shoal ƶijϻ Wind Farm, located between 17 and 23 kilometers off the coast of North Norfolk in the UK, generates around 1.1 terawatt-hours of green energy per annum. The wind farm has been operational since 2012.
