Australian engineering firm Worley said on Thursday it has been awarded a contract by BP for hook-up and commissioning integration services for the supermajor’s Mad Dog 2 project and the Argos deepwater platform in the Gulf of Mexico.

Argos, BP’s newest floating production unit (FPU), is planned to be commissioned in 2021.

Under the contract, Worley will prepare for arrival of the FPU in the Gulf of Mexico and complete final systems commissioning in Texas, offshore hook-up at the Mad Dog field and handover of the platform to BP’s Global Operations Organization, the company said.
