Delek Group released a resource assessment report on its Tamar Southwest project that showed an average 684 Bcf of estimated undiscovered gas reserves in place in the project.
This value is the undiscovered resource potential in two sands indentified from a 2009 3D seismic survey over the prospect. Tamar Southwest is adjacent to Tamar field in the Levant basin of the eastern Mediterranean Sea between Cyprus and Israel. Tamar field is in 1700m (5580ft) water depths about 80km (50 mi) west of Haifa, Israel.
The assessment report was prepared by NSAI (Netherland, Sewell & Associates Inc.) in accordance with the Petroleum Resources Management System (SPE-PRMS). Their estimate of reserves ranges from 517-880Bcf of undiscovered gas in place.
At this time, the partnership has made no decision about drilling the prospect.
