Deepwater drilling and performance improvement firm Exceed has set up new business units in Canada and Ghana on the back of recent contract wins.
The firm, on stand 3D210 at SPE ƶijϻ Europe, is now also setting up new units in Angola and the Middle East and expects to reach $20 million turnover, year to the end of February 2014, from US$14 million the previous year.
New work includes an agreement with two Canadian operators to support their existing drilling programmes, and performance improvement work with Talisman Sinopec Energy UK, in the North Sea.
The new unit in Ghana was driven by growth in the area, including the announcement of the TEN deepwater field development and other opportunities in the Gulf of Guinea.
Exceed’s Performance Improvement division also recently won work supporting a deepwater rigless well stimulation campaign for a firm in Ghana. Exceed has also launched a project management team focused on drilling projects in deepwater.
Exceed’s stand will offer a demonstration demo of iVISION, Exceed’s visual knowledge management platform, which is currently being client-tested.
Exceed’s Brazil-based partners Genesis will be present to demonstrate their Rig Performance System.
