Chariot starts seismic offshore Morocco

Chariot Oil & Gas and partner ONHYM have started a 1700sq km 3D seismic survey across its areas of interest offshore Morocco.

The survey will be carried out by Dolphin Geophysical using the Sanco Swift vessel.

The survey will cover all Chariot (75% WI) and ONHYM's (25% WI) three Moroccan license, specifically, ~1,075sq km in Rabat Deep, ~250sq km in Loukos ƶijϻ, and ~375sq km in Mohammedia.

The survey's aim is to enable the company to mature drillable prospects in the Mio-Pliocene and Jurassic plays identified within this region on reprocessed legacy 2D data.

The program is expected to take six weeks to complete and fulfils all of the company's work commitments in each of its Moroccan licences during the current periods of exploration, including that of the Mohammedia Reconnaissance License.
