Chevron’s Angolan subsidiary, Cabinda Gulf Oil Co. Ltd., extended its contract for the ultra deepwater semisubmersible Maersk Deliverer offshore Angola for two years.
Maersk says that the estimated revenue potential from the two-year extension is US$387 million, plus compensation for cost escalations over the contract period.The contract extends the work period until June 2017.
The Maersk Deliverer has been working on the Tombua Landana field since 2012 for Chevron and its partners.
The Maersk Deliverer is the third in a series of three state-of-the-art ultra deepwater semisubmersibles in Maersk Drilling's fleet and has since its delivery in 2010, has been employed offshore West Africa.
