The vessel is moored at the Lula field in the Iracemal Sul area in 2200m water depth. The Cidade de Mangaratiba is capable of processing 150,000b/d, 280MMcf/d of gas, and has a storage capacity of approximately 1.6MMbbl of crude oil.

The FPSO is under a 20-year lease and operation contract for the Petrobras subsidiary, Tupi B.V.

The Cidade de Mangaratiba is the ninth FPSO/FSO vessel Modec has in Brazil in addition to Modec’s third FPSO in the pre-salt after FPSO Cidade de Angra dos Reis MV22 and FPSO Cidade de Sao Paulo MV23.

At the beginning of December, Petrobras awarded Modec and its Brazilian partner Schahin Group a contract to supply, charter, and for the operation of a FPSO vessel for the Tartaruga Verde and Tartaruga Mestica fields, located in the Campos basin, offshore Brazil.
