BP explores the Great Australian Bight

BP discusses its latest effort: exploring the Great Australian Bight. The deepwater frontier area covers 24,000 sq km, located 300km offshore in water depths up to 5,000m. The supermajor says the hydrocarbon potential of the area has never been thoroughly tested, but preparatory work has shown positive signs of oil and gas.
