Asset integrity management firm XPD8 Solutions is to develop the maintenance program and inventory data for MODEC’s TEN MV25 floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, operated on behalf of Tullow Oil, offshore Ghana.

The 18-month project follows on from recent international growth by XPD8, with contracts in Europe, South East Asia and Africa.

XPD8’s project office in London will deliver the Ghana contract and the firm is looking to increase its staff numbers in the city from six to eight. The company currently employs about 50 people, mostly based at its headquarters in Aberdeen.

Formed in 2003, XPD8 is a privately owned company which provides skilled engineers for all areas of the data development process.

Last month, XPD8 announced it had secured work to provide condition monitoring services with an operator in Equatorial Guinea as part of a £4million triple contract win that also included work with Wood Group, on behalf of Dana Petroleum, and Apache in the UK North Sea.

XPD8 has received ISO9001 accreditation for its quality management systems which ensures high standards throughout the business.
